Chefs Were Celebrated
Our culinary talent continues to impress us with their creativity, passion, and innovation. This year, Aramark hosted two fierce competitions, the Aramark Culinary Excellence (ACE) Competition and the International Chefs’ Cup. We also cheered on our Collegiate Hospitality, Sports + Entertainment, and Healthcare+ chefs who earned prestigious ProChef Certifications from the Culinary Institute of America in May and August.
Aramark Welcomed New Leaders
This year, we welcomed new leaders, Autumn Bayles (Supply Chain), Jim Tarangelo (Finance), Sasha Day (Destinations), Steve Prisco (Aramark Canada), and Tom Nevil (Aramark Ireland).
We also wished Tom Ondrof (Finance), Bruce Fears (Destinations), and Andy Siklos (Aramark Canada) happy retirements.
Volunteers Made 10th Annual ABC Day a Success
This year, for the 10th anniversary of Aramark’s global day of service, Aramark Building Community (ABC) Day, volunteers participated in projects benefiting 140 community organizations, in 13 countries, and Aramark provided grants to over 75 community service organizations. To celebrate a decade of service, and recognize the company’s tireless employee volunteers, Aramark also set aside 10 one-time grants to nonprofits recommended by employee volunteers.
Sports + Entertainment Innovated the Guest Experience
It was an exciting year in sports for Aramark Sports + Entertainment! We delighted fans with creative spring, summer, and fall MLB, NFL, and NBA/NHL menus. We also offered unique and innovative tech experiences, like Amazon One and Walk Thru Bru.
New Brands and Programs Joined the Aramark Family
New year, new brands and programs! This year, we welcomed Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), Eat to Excel, and Workplace Experience Group’s Salute Hospitality to the Aramark family.
Supplier Diversity Increased Support of Minority Businesses
At Aramark, we remain committed to continuously developing an innovative and inclusive supply chain. In 2023, we partnered with a broad network of small organizations and businesses owned and operated by minorities, women, and other diverse populations:
- BLK + Bold, the first Black-owned nationally distributed coffee brand in the U.S.
- Triple B Hospitality Group, a Black-owned leader in human-centric hospitality
- Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce – Accelerate Business MWBE Scaling Program
- The Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (Chicago MSDC)

Aramark was Recognized for ESG Progress
We’re dedicated to reducing inequity, supporting and growing our communities, promoting diversity, and protecting our planet. This year, we highlighted our environmental, social, governance (ESG) efforts, validating our Science Based Targets and releasing the 2022 Progress Report.

ERGs Celebrated Heritage Months and Members
Aramark is home to eleven employee resource groups (ERGs). Throughout this year, the ERGs celebrated the following Heritage Months:

International Supported Historic Coronation of King Charles
As the world watched the United Kingdom celebrate the momentous coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, more than 600 Aramark team members worked around the clock for months to seamlessly provide essential services to the more than 10,000 military and service personnel involved in the coronation weekend May 6-8, 2023.
