Aramark employees around the world are committed to volunteering and giving back to the communities where they live, work, and serve every day.
To reinforce that commitment, each year the company sets aside one day of service, Aramark Building Community Day, to activate the power of its employee volunteers to strengthen local communities and create a positive impact on people and the planet.
To celebrate the 10th annual Aramark Building Community Day in 2023 and recognize the company’s tireless employee volunteers, Aramark set aside 10 one-time grants to nonprofits recommended by the volunteers themselves.
"We wanted to do something extra special for our 10th annual Aramark Building Community Day," said Jami Leveen, Vice President of Community Partnerships, Aramark. “Anyone who volunteered on the day of service and met the submission requirements was eligible to suggest a nonprofit to receive one of the grants.”
The 10 nonprofit organizations randomly selected for the one-time community grants were as follows:
- Amity Day Care and Learning Center - Freeport, Illinois
- Broad Street Ministry - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Comfort Cases - Rockville, Maryland
- Crisis Assistance Ministry - Charlotte, North Carolina
- Hope Center - Lexington, Kentucky
- Hull Services - Calgary, Alberta
- Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre - Halifax, Nova Scotia
- New Day Ranch - Verona, Kentucky
- Pillsbury United Communities - Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Servant’s Heart of Mint Hill - Mint Hill, North Carolina
