Every year, Burger Month is celebrated in May to kick off the busiest time for grilling and barbecuing. The excitement for burgers doesn’t stop at neighborhood picnics and backyard gatherings. Aramark Sports + Entertainment’s menus at the MLB ballparks it serves are stacked with burgers to satisfy every taste preference. From award-winning, to outside the box, Aramark’s team is grilling up burger greatness all season long and is excited to highlight these three grand slams flavors.
Here's a sampling of some special burgers:
Citi Field
As the winner of USA Today’s "Best Stadium Food” ranking and the 2023 NYC Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash, the culinary team at Citi Field knows how to put the “champ” in Mets Championship Burger. They stepped up to the plate for the 2024 season, creating a mouthwatering masterpiece, the Mets Championship Burger — a dry-aged beef patty topped with Maine lobster salad and lobster fondue.
Jason Eksterowicz, senior executive chef at Citi Field, was recently featured on MLB Network's "MLB Central," where he presented the Mets Championship Burger to satisfied segment hosts.
"The fans have reacted well to the burger," said Eksterowicz. “It’s a great example of what we try to do in our food program at Citi Field. We continue to put our own twist on fan favorites to elevate culinary experiences.”

Citizens Bank Park
Originally debuting during the Philadelphia Phillies’ 2023 post-season run, Kyle Schwarber’s Schwarburger is back with a change up for the 2024 baseball season.
“With the success of the original Schwarburger, we thought it would be great to feature it as a regular menu item,” said executive chef at Citizens Bank Park, Iovonnie (Vonnie) Negron. “Schwarber was involved in the process, submitting what he likes on his burger. From there, the Schwarburger 2.0 was born.”
The team at Citizens Bank Park is now offering the designated hitter’s Schwarburger 2.0, which is topped with American cheese, pepper bacon, fried egg, crispy onions, and signature sauce, on their regular game day menu.
A portion of proceeds from the Schwarburger 2.0 are donated to Schwarber's Neighborhood Heroes foundation which provides support and funding for first responder families.

Coors Field
In March, Aramark Sports + Entertainment launched a new plant-based concept at Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies.
Better-Off Burgers are premium plant-based ballpark burgers that offer a satisfying alternative to meat. The vegan offering caters to the diverse preferences of fans and aligns with Aramark's commitment to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the food it serves.
The current lineup of Better-Off Burgers include:
- The Original, a plant-based burger with "burger sauce," pickles, and vegan cheddar cheese. Available add-ons include roasted mushrooms, onions, and avocado.
- Chorizo Burger, a plant-based burger with "chorizo," vegan smoked gouda, roasted peppers, bibb lettuce, and chipotle aioli.
- Medi Burger, a plant-based burger with za'atar, carrot sumac slaw, harissa mayo, olive tapenade, and bibb lettuce.

While Aramark might be celebrating National Burger Month in May, these three ballpark burgers will be available all season-long at Citi Field, Citizens Bank Park, and Coors Field.
