Successful Technology Implementation: An Open Forum with Expert Panelists
Vice President of Operations for Aramark Refreshments, Erin Moshier, participated in a panel discussing Successful Technology Implementation. She was joined by experts from across the industry to discuss how to successfully strategize technology implementation within your business and avoid mistakes in the purchase and implementation of technology and people.
When asked how to know when a company is ready to implement a new technology, Erin said, “Identify what your priorities are, what tools you need to get there, and do you have the tool set today? If the answer is no, make that evaluation of what the right technology to deliver those KPIs that we’re focused on is and whether that technology will grow and evolve as we do. Take lessons learned from failures and create a new opportunity list. Identify whether you have checked the right boxes to take a step forward and make an investment. Stop thinking about it as a pilot; think about it as a soft launch. Test it in real time to identify whether to move forward or not. I think we need to continue to evolve our thought process, and in doing so, we make better decisions.”
