Recipe: Hemingway Daiquiri
Speaker: Chef Alec Lipschutz

"Hey everybody, it's Chef Alec. We are in the Aramark kitchen. Today is National Cocktail Day, so I want to show you guys a really cool twist on a classic cocktail that I know you're going to love.

So, they call this the Hemingway Daiquiri because it was the favorite drink of the author, Ernest Hemingway. He made his a little differently than we're going to do it today, but for ours, we have some fresh lime juice, some fresh grapefruit juice, strawberry puree, and zero-proof rum. Now, of course, if you want to make yours with regular light rum, you absolutely can.

All right, let's get started. We have a shaker full of ice. We're going to start off with 2 ounces of our spirit-free rum. Then we're going to do half an ounce of our puree, half an ounce of our grapefruit juice, and half an ounce of our lime juice.

Now, all we do is give it a nice shake. Then we're going to double strain it right into our glass and garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Happy National Cocktail Day! Cheers."
