Subaru Park

November 2, 2026

As a former soccer player and coach, and a proud Philadelphia Union supporter, a visit to Subaru Park was an easy addition to the 250 Taste Tour. With the Union securing a playoff spot, the atmosphere around the stadium continues to grow.

While the action on the field is the main attraction, there's plenty to enjoy before the first whistle. I may not have had the chance to test whether my professional soccer dreams are still alive during our visit, but I did get to sample some standout food and take a look at the latest Union gear, including a few items I'll definitely be coming back for when I attend the final regular-season home match in a few weeks.

Here's how to make the most of your next matchday experience at Subaru Park with the Aramark Sports + Entertainment team.

Union Shop

Before you head to your seat, make a stop at the Union Shop. Open two hours before kickoff, it's packed with everything a Union fan could want. One item that immediately caught my eye was a corduroy Union hat that would pair perfectly with a 2026 home jersey, a flannel, and just about any cool fall evening around the fire or out on the town.

Fans can also choose from a wide variety of supporter scarves featuring Union branding, favorite players, and even a certain popular fictional cat. And if you're shopping for a younger fan, there's a Phang plush waiting to come home with you.

Match Day Eats

Now, onto the food, which is obviously one of my favorite parts of the 250 Taste Tour.

I'm a big believer in taking an already great sandwich and making it even better, and that's exactly what the Aramark Sports + Entertainment team has done with its Bánh Mì.

Featuring marinated pork, pickled carrots and daikon radish, jalapeños, fresh cilantro, and spicy mayo, it's a flavorful take on a classic. There are a lot of great restaurants that offer Bánh Mì sandwiches in Philly, but Subaru Park just might deserve a place on that list.

Another favorite of mine? Empanadas.

Ever since discovering them in high school, I've been hooked. I've even made them myself in a cooking class and learned they're a lot less intimidating to prepare than they look. There's just something about a flaky, golden pastry wrapped around a savory filling that's hard to resist, especially when you're looking for the perfect matchday snack.

At Subaru Park, fans can choose from three savory varieties: seasoned beef, chipotle chicken, or pinto bean. They're technically shareable, but whether you choose to do that is entirely up to you.

Speaking of shareable items, you have to try Subaru Park's take on Mexican Street Corn Dip. This creamy, crowd-friendly dish captures the bold flavors of traditional elote and esquites in a scoopable format that's perfect for sharing with friends and family.

Pro tip: Order the empanadas and the Mexican Street Corn Dip. Dip one into the other if you're feeling adventurous or simply enjoy them side by side. Either way, you'll thank me later.

Now, after all that savory goodness, no sporting event is complete without something sweet.

That's where the Ice Cream Nachos come in. Made with soft-serve ice cream, waffle wafer chips, chocolate sauce, and rainbow sprinkles, it's a fun dessert that puts a fitting finish on the matchday experience.
