More than 300,000 race fans attended the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Barcelona‑Catalunya Grand Prix June 12-14, 2026, and the team from Aramark Spain went above and beyond to deliver food and hospitality services tailored to satisfy every taste and elevate every fan’s experience.
Aramark Spain served attendees across nearly 100 food and beverage outlets at the Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya stadium in Montmeló, Spain, as well as in 21 corporate suites and the Sky View Racing Lounge, a premium hospitality area that served culinary offerings crafted for the setting.
Premium Catering to Match the Race Excitement
“We designed the Sky View concept as an immersive gastronomic experience aimed at delighting guests during Grand Prix weekend,” said Jaime Thiebaut, President and CEO, Aramark Spain. “Through a journey across themed stations and live cooking demonstrations, our chefs showcased their culinary skill and passion.”
Renowned Spanish Chef Fran Vicente contributed to the design of the Sky View Racing Lounge, bringing added value through his culinary expertise and vision.
The premium hospitality experience included:
- A Sherry Bar developed with Spanish winemaker Barbadillo;
- Two experienced sushi chefs preparing dishes live at the Sushi Corner;
- A Spanish ham carving station;
- A signature cocktail created for the event called “Flores de Queso”;
- A carefully selected wine cellar from Castell del Remei, a partner brand known for its heritage and strong connection to the region; and

Fan Fare with Local Flair
General admission fans were offered a wide selection of food and beverage options, including many with ties to local flavors and products. Highlights included:
- Meats sourced from ABRAS, a local producer, which were featured in sandwiches and in spaces such as La Graella del Circuit, where grilled dishes and live cooking added to the experience;
- Traditional Catalan butifarra sandwiches;
- A L’Ibèric stand specializing in cured meats;
- Famous Spanish Mediterranean flat cakes called coques de Perafita; and
- A large Valencian paella station where chefs cooked the dish live, creating an enticing aroma that became one of the venue’s most distinctive attractions.

Innovation and Sustainability at the Circuit
Aramark Spain employed technological solutions designed to streamline service and enhance the fan experience, allowing attendees to spend more time enjoying the excitement of the race.
Through Express MKT outlets, visitors were able to select items and complete payment autonomously in a matter of seconds.
To highlight a commitment to sustainability, Aramark Spain promoted the widespread use of reusable cups, prioritized locally sourced products through regional suppliers, and encouraged eco-friendly transportation methods that minimize environmental impact and promote energy efficiency.
The team also partnered with the social organization El Xiprer (Granollers) to manage and redistribute food surplus, reinforcing its commitment to a more responsible and sustainable catering model.

Authenticity as the Path to Professional Success
We believe the best way to create a diverse and inclusive workplace is to celebrate people as individuals, making space for them to unite their talents, passions, and personal stories with their professional motivations.
“Every person should have a voice at work and should feel free to celebrate their history. We’re taking that principle and putting it into action,” Ramos says.
This Hispanic Heritage Month – and long into the future – we strive to ensure the next generation of chefs is empowered to share their journeys, too.
