Five Can't-Miss Destinations and Experiences This Season

Celebrate 100 Years at Lake Quinault Lodge

One of the season's marquee events takes place on September 19, when Lake Quinault Lodge celebrates its 100th anniversary with special programming honoring a century of hospitality in Washington's Olympic National Forest. The celebration is complemented by a full lineup of seasonal culinary experiences, including Mushroom Festival Dinner, Sorcerer's Supper, and the Phantom of the Lodge Masquerade Party.

Monterey Car Week Meets Coastal Tradition

Monterey Car Week returns to Asilomar Hotel & Conference Grounds with an exciting lineup of new experiences, including Electric Coast EV experiences, Night Rider classic car showcase, and the Luau in the Meadows, the official kickoff of the second annual Woodies in the Woods. Guests can continue the celebration throughout the fall for live bands every Friday, Oktoberfest festivities, California State Parks special events, and the new Tides & Terroir wine tasting experience.

A Season of Festivals and Events at Stone Mountain Park

From late summer through Halloween, Stone Mountain Park offers one of the Southeast's premier lineups of seasonal events. Guests can enjoy the 250th Drone & Light Show on select summer evenings before the return of the FREE (with a daily or annual parking pass) Classic Lasershow over Labor Day Weekend. The season also includes the renowned Yellow Daisy Festival, featuring hundreds of artists and craft vendors, live music, festival food, and a beer garden.

The park's beloved Pumpkin Festival returns with the World's Largest Pumpkin Drone & Light Show, the Glow-A-Long Parade, Cinderella flying overhead, and family-friendly attractions from day into night. The season concludes with two signature events: the Stone Mountain Highland Games, celebrating Scottish heritage with athletic competitions, piping and drumming, Highland dancing, and more, and the Native American Festival & Pow Wow, one of Georgia's largest Native American gatherings, featuring traditional dance, storytelling, wildlife presentations, artisan crafts, and cultural demonstrations.

Appalachian Adventure Comes Alive This Fall

Adventures on the Gorge invites guests to experience the best of the New River Gorge through a season of outdoor recreation and Appalachian traditions. Adventure Week in August brings guided hikes, climbing clinics, rafting specials, gear demonstrations, and family-friendly activities, followed by Appalachian Heritage Week in September, celebrating the region's rich culture through bluegrass music, local food, crafts, storytelling, brewery tastings, and heritage hikes. The season concludes with the Bridge Day & Fall Colors Festival in October, where guests can enjoy peak fall foliage, photography workshops, cider tastings, pumpkin carving, bonfires, live music, scenic drives, and Oktoberfest-inspired food and beverage specials.

Lake Tahoe's Best by Land and Water

From panoramic mountain vistas to unforgettable cruises on the lake, Lake Tahoe Adventures and Zephyr Cove Resort offer visitors countless ways to experience one of the West's most iconic destinations. Guests can now enjoy the popular Ridge Run Tour year-round with Lake Tahoe Adventures, making alpine excursions accessible in every season. On the water, Zephyr Cove Resort continues its lineup of signature experiences, including its Sunset Bar & Grill Music Series, Sunday Brunch and Mimosa Cruises, themed Throwback Thursday cruises, the popular Shutterbug Cruise, Labor Day Cruise, and festive Costume Cruise. Together, the two destinations showcase the best of Lake Tahoe from both the shoreline and the surrounding Sierra Nevada.

Yosemite's Beloved Holiday Traditions Return

Planning ahead for the holiday travel season, Yosemite Hospitality invites guests to reserve two of its most sought-after annual experiences at The Ahwahnee. Vintners Holidays pairs nationally recognized wineries with multi-course dining experiences and educational tastings, while the legendary Bracebridge Dinner transforms the historic hotel into a 17th-century English manor for one of the country's most celebrated holiday dining traditions. These signature events draw visitors from around the world each year and offer an unforgettable way to experience Yosemite beyond the peak summer season.
