From Feedback to Fan Favorites: How Baseball Cards and Stickers Became a Celebration of Dining Staff
At Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, dining isn’t just about meals—it’s about moments, memories, and the people who make them possible. At the University of Hartford, the UHart Dining Services team brought that mission to life in a uniquely personal way, turning team recognition into a campus-wide collectible craze.
Through a fun and innovative initiative, UHart Dining celebrates the people behind the meals with collectible baseball cards and custom-designed stickers that spotlight team members to honor staff, engage students, and build community in creative ways.
Originally launched as part of a Voice of the Customer (VOC) initiative, the baseball cards were designed to encourage students to leave feedback about their dining experience. Each card features a team member on the front and a QR code on the back linking to the VOC survey.
“What started as a simple way to gather student feedback quickly grew into something far more meaningful,” said Megan Chrostowski, UHart Dining Field Marketing Manager. “The baseball cards were originally a temporary promotional tool, but students didn’t just use them to leave glowing reviews—they started collecting them. I get messages every month asking if their collections are complete. It’s incredible to see how much our students value our team members and want to be part of this fun, ongoing collector’s game.”

Building on the success of the baseball cards, UHart Dining this semester introduced personalized stickers featuring cartoon-style illustrations of team members. Created by two dining interns and illustration majors, Dyani Maldonado, class of 2026, and Leah Dorman, a graduate student, the stickers showcase eight team members in the first round, each drawn from scratch and customized with UHart-themed elements like name tags and fun backgrounds.
The stickers have already become a hit at tables and campus events, with students eager to collect them all.
“The great thing about the cards and stickers is that our teams love them just as much as our guests do,” said Chrostowski. “Who doesn’t want to be on a baseball card or sticker? These projects have brought joy to everyone involved.”
