June 10, 2025

A new culinary partnership brings innovative, chef-designed menus to customers at workplace dining locations across South Korea.

Chef Mingoo Kang, owner of South Korea’s only Michelin three-star restaurant, will lead monthly culinary collaborations across corporate dining sites managed by Aramark Korea.

“This marks the first-ever formal chef partnership for us,” said David Kim, President and CEO, Aramark Korea. “Chef Kang’s philosophy aligns with Aramark’s vision to innovate and localize menus while maintaining global quality standards. We are excited with how this collaboration brings gourmet-level, seasonal Korean dishes to workplace dining.”

Chef Kang is a pioneering figure in Korean cuisine, renowned for merging traditional Korean flavors with modern culinary techniques. With a background in Western culinary training from the U.S. and Europe, Chef Kang brings global sophistication to Korean ingredients and flavors, emphasizing refined fermentation, seasonality, and regional sourcing.

Chef Kang’s restaurant, Mingles, has been named to Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list multiple times. Chef Kang was a tasting judge at the 2025 Aramark International Chefs’ Cup held in Shanghai in May.

Monthly rotating menus curated by Chef Kang will be showcased across Aramark Korea corporate dining locations, offering customers access to exclusive chef-designed menus not available elsewhere in the industry.

Aramark Korea and Chef Kang will collaborate on menu research and development to produce innovative offerings that reflect local and global culinary trends.

While curated menus are still under development, plans are in place to launch monthly chef-designed menus across Aramark Korea’s workplace dining. This partnership also enables Aramark Korea to leverage its global network to elevate the profile of Korean cuisine worldwide.
