The heat is on.
Chefs across Aramark lines of business have been competing locally and regionally in the U.S. to become finalists in this year’s Aramark Culinary Excellence (ACE) competition.
ACE allows chefs to showcase their passion for excellence in a competitive, exciting, and enriching environment dedicated to providing growth and development while continuing to nurture a global culinary culture.
Aramark Destinations ACE Finalists
In April, eight chefs from Aramark Destinations went on to their business’ national ACE competition held at Sysco Headquarters in Texas. Four American Culinary Federation-certified judges ranked the chefs based on their preparation of a four-course meal created from a mystery basket of ingredients.
Congratulations to the following chef finalists who will compete as a team in the enterprise-wide ACE competition in October 2025:
- Charles Gardiner – High Point University, High Point, NC
- Dan Meier – Ross School of Business, Ann Arbor, MI
- Greg Knight – William F. Bolger Conference Center, Potomac, MD

“I am so proud of all our chefs who make every moment memorable for guests every day,” said Sasha Day, President and CEO, Aramark Destinations. “But I am especially proud of those chefs who are putting their culinary artistry, passion, and skills on display against the best of the best in the ACE competition.”
The team of three Aramark Destinations chefs will compete against other teams from Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, Aramark Healthcare+, Aramark Sports + Entertainment, Aramark Student Nutrition, and Aramark Workplace Experience Group at the enterprise-wide ACE competition.
