To kick off Military Appreciation Month in May, more than 100 Aramark employees worked together to create and send care packages to 750 members of the military who are currently deployed.
The day of service project—in support of the Society for Hospitality and Food Service Management’s We Care Campaign—was organized and coordinated by Aramark’s Salute Hospitality, a curated company solely dedicated to serving government and defense personnel, Aramark’s SALUTE employee resource group, and Aramark Community Relations.
Employee volunteers filled bulk boxes including snacks, toiletries, games, and notes of appreciation and support for active-duty members of the U.S. military.
The event also coincided with the annual Global Aramark Building Community Day, a day of service during which more than 4,000 Aramark employee volunteers in 13 countries participated in projects designed to strengthen their local communities by enabling hospitality industry employment opportunities, increasing access to healthy food, and encouraging environmental stewardship.
