March is Women’s History Month and Mark This! is celebrating by sitting down with leadership in Aramark’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), EMPOWER. EMPOWER’s mission is to empower and grow diverse leadership among women that drives results by promoting development, networking, and mentoring.

Brandi Heatherly, Vice President for Performance Excellence for Collegiate Hospitality
Brandi began her career with ARAMARK at East Carolina where she graduated with a BS in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration.
During her tenure at East Carolina University the account experienced tremendous growth in revenue and student satisfaction. Brandi received the Small Employer of the Year award from the Pitt County Committee of Employment for People with Disabilities. Brandi accepted the Operations Director position at Wake Forest University where she successfully developed the student manager program. Brandi then accepted the role as Food Service Director at Wingate University, a new account. During her tenure at Wingate, she received the Ralph Hargett Service Award which is given to the Wingate staff member who best represents the spirit of service to the University.
In 2007, Brandi accepted a District Manager position in Arizona. In 2010, Brandi became the Senior Resident District Manager at Arizona State University.
In 2013 Brandi accepted the role as the Vice President of Operations supporting the Central region. Brandi was then responsible for the dining business in the West Region as the Regional Vice President. before accepting a new role in September 2023—Vice President for Performance Excellence. In this new role, Brandi supports our Hospitality Enablement managers, mobilization, sports dining within Collegiate Hospitality, and the Health and Wellness Council. Brandi is currently the Chair of Empower.
May Limbach, Vice President for Marketing and Communications for Avendra
May Limbach is Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Avendra, responsible for building Avendra’s brand internationally, growing the supplier strategy and value proposition, and supporting the organization’s capture, retention, and growth of existing and new clients. May most recently served as Brand Marketing Director for Aramark’s Convenience and Coffee portfolio. She was previously B2B Marketing Director for Aramark’s Facilities business.
She currently serves as Co-Chair for EMPOWER, Aramark’s largest employee resource group, driving the professional development, mentoring, and advocacy efforts for women throughout the organization. Her passion for driving change and leadership opportunities has directly led to a number of community partnerships, professional events, new initiatives and more. May earned a BS degree from Loyola University and an MBA from Temple University. She is also a 2020 graduate from KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women. May is determined to bring more awareness and change to the experiences & challenges faced by self-identifying women of different demographics and upholds that personal mission through her steadfast commitment to advocacy work and mentoring of young professionals.
