For today’s episode, we will be speaking with four members of our facilities business about four different programs that are driving change in the facilities industry.
- Katie Boyle, AIWX Program Director, delivering smart buildings for on-demand services.
- Barry Drayton, Vice President, National Service Center, providing Facilities Management Services for clients with multiple locations, small and large, through technology based programs.
- Matt Judge, Sr. Director of Facilities Program Development, promoting efficiency and cost savings through twinning technology
- Don Pyles, Vice President for Program Development and Capability, using robots to serve partner needs

Katie Boyle, AIWX Program Director
Katie has been with Aramark for 8 years serving in a variety of roles across the IT, Growth Marketing, Facilities Management, and Global Supply Chain organizations. Katie began her career with Aramark as Project Coordinator on a national procurement platform deployment. From there, she supported the Collegiate Hospitality business as Marketing and Communications Specialist, and then Manager. In Katie’s most recent role as Director of Aramark’s Proprietary IoT platform (AIWX), she led the strategy to scale AIWX from proof of concept to a leading industry innovation with global presence. Katie is currently the Marketing Communications Director for Avendra, Aramark’s Group Purchasing Organization.
Katie graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Advertising and Public Relations and holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University, with a concentration in Food Marketing. Katie currently resides in Huntingdon Valley, PA where she and her husband are DIY renovating their original home.
Barry Drayton, Vice President for the National Service Center
Barry has been with Aramark for 15 years serving in several leadership roles within the Facilities Management Organization. Prior to Aramark, Barry worked for Johnson Controls within their Facilities Management organization. Barry is currently the VP of the National Service Center (NSC). The NSC provides facilities management related services for clients who have multiple locations and service needs that are primarily delivered using third-party vendors. This service is supported by a technology platform specifically developed for this support, as well as an extended network of Aramark approved suppliers.
Matt Judge, LEED AP, CPQ, Senior Director of Facilities Program Development
Matt Judge possesses greater than 30 years of experience in facilities management, engineering, facilities program development, and project management. Currently, Matt leads up Aramark Facilities Program Development and Professional Services teams. These teams continuously research and implement state of the art technologies to drive innovative service offerings. Prior to the role of Senior Director, he has held various responsibilities as an Engineering Manager and Director for Aramark Engineering Solutions. These responsibilities included project management, electrical engineering design reviews, strategic electrical system infrastructure master plans, building system commissioning, facility condition assessments and strategic facilities studies across all market sectors.
Don Pyles, Vice President for Program Development and Capability
Don joined the ARAMARK team in March of 2008 as District Manager in the Northeast region of Higher Education. Following his tenure as the DM he worked as the Director of Client Services where he assisted many regions with their retention and new sales efforts. Currently he serves as the Vice President of Facilities Center of Excellence where he leads a dynamic team in developing and implementing operating processes to facilitate a standardized operating model. His team also reviews, tests and evaluates the latest innovations in the cleaning, landscaping, and facility operations industries to ensure Aramark stays on the leading edge in technology and innovation. Prior to joining ARAMARK, he held various high-level management positions. He and his wife Tracy reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
