Handshake, a hiring platform focused on helping students launch their careers, evaluated more than 900,000 employers for the awards based on the companies’ early talent engagement activities and efforts to shape the next generation of leaders.
More than 15 million students actively use Handshake to find internships and jobs.

Launching Careers
Aramark offers unique internship and early career opportunities that provide hands-on growth, mentorship from industry leaders, and a variety of work environments.
Career areas include a Hospitality and Facilities Management track, Culinary Management track, and a Corporate and Functional Support track.
Step Up to Leadership (S2L)
A paid summer internship, S2L is a 10-12 week learning experience for college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are exposed to impactful work and dynamic responsibilities that provide valuable insights and experience.
S2L mentors within Aramark provide guidance and resources that can help an intern improve their resume, providing a solid foundation for their career.
William Hall
An S2L intern, William Hall learned the ins and outs of food service and facility operations at one of America’s most famous stadiums, experiencing everything from baseball games to rock concerts. After graduating, he was accepted into the A2L program, propelling his management career at the same stadium.
Accelerate to Leadership (A2L)
For recent graduates and those about to graduate, A2L guides participants to accelerate their career paths to leadership roles within Aramark.
Each year, A2L participants receive hands-on training and experience managing day-to-day operations at an Aramark client location throughout the company’s business units.
Throughout the year, A2L employees network with peers and receive immersive ways to grow personally and professionally.
Cristina Gomez
Cristina Gomez started her journey with Aramark as a university student worker and, through hard work and the A2L program, she now oversees a team and runs operations as a Food Service Manager at a large Aramark client account.
Aramark HBCU Emerging Leaders Program
Aramark proudly partners with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund to offer annually an immersive experience for juniors and graduating seniors from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Participants of this Aramark HBCU Emerging Leaders Program are offered a trip to the company’s Philadelphia headquarters to learn more about the hospitality industry, interact with Aramark HBCU alumni, and provide leaders with insights from a student perspective concerning trends in dining services and student needs.

“I learned that at Aramark my voice matters. My future matters.” A 2024 HBCU Emerging Leader, Uche Chukwuezi is currently an S2L intern.
