Celebrate National Great Outdoors Month at These Destinations

June is National Great Outdoors Month

What better way to celebrate than by visiting one of the iconic locations operated by Aramark Destinations! Aramark Destinations’ portfolio includes many places to visit between the months of May and October, offering activities ranging from hiking, fishing, and various water adventures to simply relaxing and taking in the fresh air. Visitors can choose to extend their adventures by staying in one of the lodges, campgrounds, or cabins offered onsite for an authentic experience in the great outdoors.  


Olympic National Park


  • For travelers looking for water-related and land adventures, Olympic National Park is ideal. Charming Lake Crescent Lodge, one of the first buildings constructed in the park in 1915, is seasonally operated and open from the end of April to the end of November.

 



  •  Log Cabin Resort offers guests a campground with easy access to trails, paddle boats, paddleboards, canoes, and kayak rentals. Along with a campground, there is a nearby lodge that houses a deli and general store. Log Cabin Resort is great for all different types of adventures. Log Cabin Resort is open from late May to the end of September.

 



  • Looking to unwind? Check out Sol Duc Hot Springs. Sol Duc offers guests beautiful mineral water hot pools. Sol Duc Hot Springs is open from the end of March through the end of October.

 



  • Lake Quinault Lodge is a gorgeous year-round lakeside retreat. Enjoy relaxing by the fireplace after a long hike, savor a meal in the historic Roosevelt Dining Room or just simply relax in an Adirondack chair and soak in the views.

Crater Lake National Park

  • Crater Lake National Park features the deepest lake in the Unites States at 1,943 feet. Crater Lake was formed 7,700 years ago after a volcano collapsed, making this park a really unique experience for guests.

 


  • Crater Lake Lodge in the heart of Oregon and overlooking the beautiful lake at Rim Village, offers travelers of all ages a range of summer activities like hiking, fishing, boating, and biking. When it’s time for guests to unwind, the lodge offers numerous rooms including some with lake views and dining options with regionally sourced food prepared by Aramark chefs. The lodge is open from mid-May to mid-October.

 


  • Union Creek Resort is a historic getaway that has been serving guests since 1922. Union Creek is located near Crater Lake National Park and offers hiking and scenic waterfalls. Guests have lodging options including 17 log cabins, vacation rentals for longer stays, or private rooms within the resort. Union Creek is open year-round to all guests. Make sure to try the legendary pie at Beckie’s Café.
