Aramark Recognized for Offering One of the Nation’s Best Workforce Health and Well-being Initiatives
PHILADELPHIA – The National Business Group on Health, a non-profit association of more than 440 large U.S. employers, has honored Aramark for providing one of the best workforce health and employee well-being organizational initiatives in the nation.
Aramark is among 50 U.S. employers that received the 2019 Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-Being award, presented at the National Business Group on Health’s Workforce Strategy 2019 Conference, and one of 19 companies that received Platinum distinction. Aramark received a Platinum Award for its “Take Care” programs. This marks the eleventh consecutive year Aramark has received a Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-Being award, and the fifth year receiving Platinum.
Aramark’s “Take Care” well-being program provides employees with resources to strengthen their physical, emotional, social and financial well-being. Offerings include challenges; fitness centers; screenings; flu vaccinations; health assessments; online coaching and tools; a smoking cessation program; EAP; nutrition, obesity and fitness counseling; financial webinars; wellness fairs; and regular communications.
A critical part of Aramark’s commitment to health and wellness is Healthy for Life® 20 By 20, a ground breaking initiative aimed at improving the health of all Americans. Healthy for Life® 20 By 20, introduced industry leading menu innovations by reducing calories, saturated fat and sodium levels, and increasing fruits, vegetables and whole grains on the menus Aramark serves on campus, in hospitals and in workplaces.
Promoting healthy lifestyles among all consumers, families in underserved communities and Aramark’s customers, clients and employees is a key component of Feed Your Potential 365, a public health and well-being campaign.
“Aramark is committed to building a culture of health that benefits our employees and their families,” said Lynn McKee, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Aramark. “We are proud to be recognized by the National Business Group on Health, with the highest distinction, for our holistic well-being strategy.”
