Aramark and STARR Restaurants Collaboration
The Philadelphia-based Starr Restaurant Organization (Starr Restaurants) led by entrepreneur and James Beard Award-winning restaurateur, Stephen Starr, Starr Restaurants is one of the largest multi-concept and independent restaurant groups in the United States. Aramark and STARR Restaurants started a collaboration back in December 2021 and together, Aramark and Starr Restaurants have driven culinary innovation and excellence through a strategic collaboration designed to provide best-in-class hospitality experiences for Aramark clients, while enabling new growth for both companies.
In May 2023, Amtrak and Starr Restaurants announced the launch of a new Amtrak Acela First Class dining menu for guests traveling between Boston and Washington DC. The Aramark and Starr collaboration is a continuation of Aramark’s accelerated growth strategy to develop strategic relationships that will enhance the overall client and customer experience.
Stage Program
On an ongoing quarterly basis Aramark chefs from Workplace Experience Group have been given the opportunity to stage at three different Starr restaurants. Stage is the French word for internship. In France, there are stages for every line of work, but around the world, the word stage has come to mean a kitchen internship or training.
This experience allows Aramark chefs to learn from Executive Chefs that were trained by James Beard award winning restauranter, Stephen Starr. Come behind the scenes as Rachel Reuter, Executive Pastry Chef at Citibank, works with Chef Anthony Roonchareon, Executive Pastry Chef at Electric Lemon, and sits down for an exclusive interview.
