Aramark Collegiate Hospitality welcomed student leaders from across the country to its global headquarters for the fifth Annual Council of Student Advisors (CSA) Summit earlier this month. The three-day event brought together members of the current CSA to collaborate with Aramark leaders, share feedback, and explore innovations shaping the future of campus dining for the current college generation and the generations to follow.
The summit kicked off with a welcome dinner and networking session, followed by two days of immersive experiences designed to strengthen the partnership between Aramark and its student advisors. The attending CSA members participated in interactive challenges, including designing an ideal meal plan and envisioning a digital dining experience, giving students a platform to influence future offerings within Aramark Collegiate Hospitality.
Students had the opportunity to participate in:
- “Innovation Session – CSA Approved”: Students acted as “investors” in an engaging Shark Tank‑style pitch featuring forward‑looking Collegiate Hospitality concepts.
- Among the concepts were “Campus Brands and the Future of the Food Court”; an in‑development health and wellness residential dining program; as well as an engaging, first‑year student-centric concept aimed at easing social transitions, helping new students form early connections, and building a strong sense of belonging from day one.
- Culinary Showcase: During the kitchen tour and tasting, students sampled a curated selection of menu developments that demonstrated the range of culinary innovation happening within Collegiate Hospitality. The experience featured celebrity Chef Grace Ramirez’s chimichurri chicken with Spanish rice, new crispy, gluten‑free chicken tenders, a dessert hummus bar, and a True Balance spinach flatbread currently in development, along with salads, beverages, and a variety of treats that rounded out the tasting.
- The showcase offered students a firsthand look at how new ideas and menu concepts—and the feedback they directly provide—help shape the evolution of campus dining.
- Behind-the-Scenes Experience: Students toured Xfinity Mobile Arena with the Aramark’s Sports + Entertainment team before attending a Philadelphia 76ers game to learn more about what happens behind the scenes at a professional sporting event from the lens of hospitality.

“The summit gave us the chance to reimagine what campus dining could look like,” said Santana Garrett, a CSA member from The University of Alabama. “It feels good to know that Aramark listens to both big and small ideas.”
Lillian Chester, a student from Southern Methodist University, added, “To put [my experience] into two words, I’d say food and interest. Making new interests, a lot of us probably had never cared about the hospitality field before or understood how it works from the management aspect. But going under the stadium and seeing how everything works, the masses how things move, and stockpile how everything moves… You’re so humbled, nobody knows.”
The Council of Student Advisors Summit reflects Aramark’s commitment to engaging students in shaping dining programs that meet evolving needs and preferences.
