Our experience serving correctional facilities gives us the know-how and perspective to optimize every day. We provide:
We bring industry expertise and proven protocols to secure facilities by providing:
With more than 35 years of experience in correctional facility food service, we’ve developed better ways to provide offenders nutritious, balanced meals in an efficient and satisfying way.
And because we have the right people on the ground getting the job done, we’re able to continually optimize so you can focus on keeping your operations running smoothly.
We’ve developed processes to design, prepare, and serve the best possible meals at the right price. Our unparalleled culinary expertise and quality protocols go into the wholesome meals designed by our culinary support teams and chefs, who work hand-in-hand with our team of registered dietitians, the largest in the industry.
We work with you to continually assure quality throughout the process, providing:
As a responsive partner, our commitment to quality, innovation, and savings has helped us retain 98% of our correctional facilities partners.
Our food service team ensures that every step of the food process meets your quality expectations. Through expert food management, we streamline operations to guarantee cost-per-meal savings and enable consistent delivery of meals that incorporate food safety standards.
We are able to reduce costs with operational efficiency, intelligent technology, and innovative menus. It all adds up to savings for you and for the taxpayer.
We recognize that environments are stressful for deputies, officers, and anyone working in a correctional facility. That’s why we developed convenient, comfortable officer dining rooms. These dining areas provide officers and staff with a unique haven from their everyday responsibilities and an opportunity to emotionally recharge, lifting satisfaction and morale.
We offer a wide variety of menu options from healthy fare to comfort food at a minimal cost. This not only affects employee retention, but also increases productivity so that you can maximize security.
We work with you and your staff to ensure the best possible dining experience. We routinely conduct surveys to find out what items your staff would like offered, and we provide opportunities to meet the various dietary needs of each individual.
You can enhance safety and security with the right programs to manage offender behavior. FreshFavorites® is a tool that correctional officers can use to revitalize offender morale and reinforce the benefits of good behavior while providing your facility with a valuable revenue stream.
FreshFavorites® provides the opportunity for well-behaved offenders to purchase meals like pizza and cheeseburgers, and healthy items with less than 500 calories like our Buffalo Chicken Ciabatta. In addition, offenders’ family and friends can go online and order meals for their loved ones, giving them a way to stay connected.
But the real value is in the positive impact it has on the morale of offenders, as well as officers and staff. This taste of the outside world leads to more satisfied inmates resulting in fewer disruptions and security-related incidents and reduces stress on your whole facility. We work closely with you to stay within the parameters of your security protocol and provide local preferences to drive sales.
Rehabilitating offenders to become productive members of society is at the heart of why we developed IN2WORK. The goal of IN2WORK is to teach offenders the fundamentals of working in a food service environment, giving them skills and experience that can be leveraged to re-enter the workforce. Learning and working in a structured training program boosts their self-esteem and produces a nationally recognized certificate. Providing these skills helps offenders build their confidence in re-entering the workforce, which can make them less likely to become repeat offenders.
The full program comprises three modules: Kitchen Basics, Retail Basics, and ServSafe®. But we can also work with you to customize IN2WORK to suit the needs of your facility, and easily augment your existing re-entry and education programs. The program helps open doors for employment after release, and can also help you maintain a more efficient, better-functioning kitchen.
