At Aramark, honoring the service of military personnel is more than a gesture—it’s a commitment lived out daily through Salute Hospitality, our specialized company focused on serving the military and their families. Salute Hospitality delivers hospitality and food service that goes beyond nourishment and fosters community, connections, and resilience.
Hospitality in the military is a daily expression of care, consistency, and culture, and plays a vital role in morale and readiness. As the U.S. Air Force notes, “Food is essential to the Department of the Air Force as it is to any military organization. Proper nutrition is crucial to maintaining the health, well-being and overall readiness of our personnel... Providing tasty, varied, and culturally appropriate meals helps to boost the spirits of patrons, especially during long deployments or challenging training exercises¹.” Salute Hospitality proudly translates this insight into action, serving not just meals, but moments that matter.
Celebrating Military Appreciation Month
In celebration of Military Appreciation Month, our teams organized a series of unforgettable events that drive hospitality at our bases nationwide.
Culinary Excellence: At the Altus Air Force Base, Salute Hospitality partnered with the local VA Clinic for a classic car show and BBQ, feeding roughly 100 veterans, active-duty military members, and their families. Additionally, they celebrated with military patrons at Hangar 97 with tasty samples from their menu and personalized thank-you cards placed on every table.
Elevated Hospitality: Fairchild Air Force Base’s Warrior Dining Facility featured a warm gathering of service members and civilians with festive treats. A lively photo booth allowed guests to capture memorable moments, and a heartfelt card-writing station allowed attendees to honor and appreciate military personnel.
People and Places: The Salute Hospitality team at Travis Air Force Base and AbilityOne management partners organized a meaningful event, distributing care packages to Airmen and honoring longtime patron Retired Senior Master Sergeant Robert Jenkins. A loyal diner for the past five years, he speaks highly of the menu’s variety and consistent quality of food.

“Military Appreciation Month highlights our ongoing commitment to support military communities across the country. Through monthly events from wellness trivia to culinary training, our teams find ways to create impactful and unforgettable experiences. I am proud to honor our men and women in uniform alongside this fantastic team.” – Don Bartlett, Vice President of Growth, Salute Hospitality
These experiences are just a glimpse of how Aramark’s Salute Hospitality team goes beyond expectations to support those who serve our country, showing up with purpose and bringing our food philosophy to life. We are deeply grateful to our military partners for the opportunity to serve their communities.
