Going Plant-Forward in Our Kitchens

Sustainability |  7.9.2018

The plant-forward movement is inspiring our kitchens across the country. In partnership with the Humane Society of the United States, our chefs take a workshop that shows them how to move fruits, vegetables and whole grains to the center of the plate. The chefs then share their learnings back with their healthcare institutions, schools or corporate dining location to create delicious, innovative dishes.

Arizona State University has fully embraced this approach by partnering with us to create Engrained Café, which focuses on a sustainable menu featuring plant-based ingredients. Executive Chef Rita French believes in the health benefits of the plant-forward movement so much that she has embraced it at home when preparing meals for her daughter.

This is just one way we’re committed to health and wellness. Aramark is proud to be working together with the American Heart Association in communities across the country to improve the health of Americans 20% by 2020.
