On Aramark Building Community Day (ABC Day), our company wide global day of service, thousands of employees come together in cities around the world to impact hundreds of thousands of families on a single day.
Our dietitians, chefs and culinary experts lead cooking demonstrations and nutrition workshops. Our many human resources professionals share their knowledge of today’s critical workforce skills – helping people create their resumes or discussing careers in the food service industry. We also donate basic necessities like food and clothing for families in need, and improve community centers to make them more inspiring places for families to gather.
In 2016, our employees mobilized around our Healthy For Life® commitment and partnership with the American Heart Association, holding dozens of healthy cooking workshops, creating thousands of nutritious snack packs and meals, and building community fruit and vegetable gardens where families will be able to grow and harvest fresh produce for years to come.
