We partner with community centers to help educate families on how to live a healthier lifestyle and provide real world tips on nutrition, wellness and food preparation. We help host health and wellness events to provide their neighbors with the information and resources they need to live healthier lives. ARAMARK enhances these meaningful and fun events by sharing the expertise of our registered dietitians and culinary professionals, and creating ARAMARK Building Community Eat Smart Zones that provide participants with information on nutrition, healthy and affordable recipes and tips on reducing the risks of health problems including heart disease and stroke.
As part of ARAMARK Building Community, we support community centers to help prepare people for jobs. Workforce readiness events, including career fairs and other efforts such as ABC Career Education Zones, are among the many ways that ARAMARK can help to increase the impact and effectiveness of the community center’s efforts. Working with our Staffing Centers and Human Resources professionals, workshops feature training sessions ranging from resume writing to financial planning and bring together a diverse group of local employers and government agencies to share information on employment opportunities.
ARAMARK partners with community centers to provide a wide variety of services and to conduct collection drives, providing their neighbors with basic needs, such as food, clothing and school supplies and safe, healthy environments. During the holidays especially, ARAMARK employees donate thousands of toys, coats and food items in addition to countless hours of service to bring the spirit of the season to those in need.
We enable community centers to realize their core mission. We dedicate our skills in professional services – hospitality, food, facilities and uniforms – to help meet the goals and priorities of neighborhood institutions assisting families in need. In cities nationwide, hundreds of ARAMARK employees will volunteer to help make physical improvements to community centers to enrich the lives of families and children.
