We recognize that addressing community challenges is most effective when public and private organizations join forces. We partner with leading nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and our clients to tackle immediate concerns and to develop longer-term solutions. Through a combination of company-wide signature initiatives and locally-driven programs, we strengthen the capacity of community organizations to help people thrive.
To further advance our community activities and focus our energy and resources, ARAMARK created a signature community program, ARAMARK Building Community, to enrich the lives of those in need by supporting and strengthening local community centers.
Philanthropy
Financial and in-kind donations are essential resources for our communities and sustaining nonprofit organizations in meeting their missions. In grant-making through corporate charitable funds and local business support, we contribute to local and national organizations that are making a meaningful impact.
Employee Volunteerism
The skills, expertise, and passion of our employees bring tremendous value to community organizations serving people in need. We are committed to developing community based initiatives that support employees in civic participation through company-sponsored and personal volunteer initiatives. ARAMARK engages thousands of employees in hands-on volunteer activities in the local communities where they live and work.
To recognize and showcase the great things our employees do to enrich lives in our communities every day, we created the ARAMARK Outstanding Volunteer Awards, in partnership with the Jefferson Awards for Public Service. The Jefferson Awards for Public Service recognizes individuals committed to local grassroots community volunteerism and public service.

We recognize this responsibility, and are committed to working hand-in-hand with disaster relief organizations, government agencies, local communities and our clients to provide necessary supplies and logistical support during a disaster.
