Philadelphia, PA, April 29, 2009 – ARAMARK’s Ed
Cuza was recently honored with the “Employer of Year” award by the
non-profit, Abilities of NW Jersey, Inc. for his involvement and
commitment in providing employment opportunities to individuals with
disabilities. To date, he has helped Abilities provide nearly 20
individuals with disabilities the opportunity to gain marketable skills
that help them go on and attain productive jobs.
“I was
really, truly surprised and humbled when Abilities notified me that I
was going to receive this great award,” said Cuza, who is responsible
for the foodservice operations at a Hackettstown, NJ manufacturer. “The
first thing I told them, however, is that the recognition should go to
our entire ARAMARK staff on site here. Everyone works as a team to
cultivate a culture of opportunity for people with disabilities. The
staff provided by Abilities is awesome and take great pride in the work
they do for us.”
Abilities of NW Jersey provides vocational
training to the disabled and disadvantaged population of Warren,
Hunterdon and Morris counties. “Ed is extremely deserving of this
recognition,” said Susan Zukoski, Abilities Director of Sales and
Marketing, who organized the awards breakfast. “He goes above and
beyond to provide employment opportunities to people with disabilities
and is very supportive of their success and growth after hiring them.
Ed is the epitome of an employer with true character and that is why we
choose him to receive this prestigious award.”

been with ARAMARK for more than 20 years, mainly in foodservice
