PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 11, 2013) – ARAMARK, a global leader delivering food, facilities and uniform services, has been named by the Ethisphere Institute to the list of World’s Most Ethical Companies for 2013.  The Ethisphere Institute is a leading international organization dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, governance, anti-corruption and sustainability.

ARAMARK is the only global food, facility and uniform services leader named to Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies list for 2013.  This is the third time the company has received the honors.  The recognition is one of many that the company has recently received, including being named to the Global Outsourcing 100® list by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, and honored by the United States National Governors Association with its Public-Private-Partnership Award for its innovative job training work in partnership with the Indiana Department of Corrections.

“Operating with integrity, respect and to a high ethical standard at all times is core to who we are,” said Eric Foss, Chief Executive Officer and President. “We are grateful that our employees worldwide embrace and live those values in all they do to serve our clients and consumers.  They are the main reason we are among the World’s Most Ethical Companies.”

Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies designation is a recognition which highlights companies that outperform industry peers when it comes to ethical behavior.  According to the Ethisphere Institute, the 2013 World’s Most Ethical Companies are those that truly embrace ethical business practice and demonstrate industry leadership.  For 2013, more companies applied for the World’s Most Ethical Companies recognition than any year in the past.  Through in-depth research and a multi-step analysis, Ethisphere reviewed nominations from companies in more than 100 countries and 36 industries.

The methodology for the Word’s Most Ethical Companies includes reviewing codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers.
