ARAMARK Named to InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators Across America

Philadelphia, PA, September 16, 2010 - For the ninth consecutive year, ARAMARK, a world leader in providing professional services, has been named to the 2010 InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology.

"We are pleased to be recognized once again for our innovative technologies which help us provide great experiences, environments and outcomes to our customers and clients around the world," said David Kaufman, senior vice president and CIO of ARAMARK. “I am very proud of all our teams whose contributions led to this honor.”

The InformationWeek 500 honors the nation's most innovative users of information technology, tracking the technology, strategies, investments and practices of America’s best-known companies. Additional details on the InformationWeek 500 can be found online at www.informationweek.com/iw500/.

One key innovation for which ARAMARK was recognized is Burger Studio, a new retail dining concept designed specifically for colleges and universities. The concept includes a combination of synchronized digital menu boards and electronic touch-screen ordering kiosks, allowing students to select or design their own individual masterpiece on a fully animated ordering kiosk. ARAMARK recently won two awards for this combination of digital signage and interactive kiosks at the 2010 Digital Signage Expo.

“For 22 years, the InformationWeek 500 has honored the most innovative users of business technology,” said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. “As we start to emerge from the worst recession in decades, the IT focus is now on driving growth—new sources of revenue, new relationships with customers, even new business models. This year’s ranking placed special emphasis on those companies and business technology executives leading that charge.”
