Admission Requirements
The following materials must be completed and submitted in one packet to the Program Director by the deadline (please see individual program information for program-specific mailing addresses and deadlines.)
- Supervised Practice Program Application ADA Standard Form (revised July 2005)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- One
official transcript from each institution attended (*if your school
will not release your transcript to you, it may be mailed directly to
the internship director). Foreign degrees / transcripts must have an
attached official evaluation (i.e. WES) stating equivalency to US degree
- Original,
signed, and dated declaration of intent to complete or statement of
verification of completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics. Please
include a copy of the required DPD courses from the institution where
the DPD verification form is sent. DPD courses must have been completed
within 5 years of entering the internship.
- Three recommendations submitted on standard Recommendation Form (ADA form) from the following:
1. An instructor in food and nutrition
2. A work or practicum supervisor
3. A second instructor or work/practicum supervisor
- Letter
of application, including personal intent and professional goals –
please limit to two (2) pages. (see each specific program for style of
letter – handwritten or typed)
- Check or money order payable to ARAMARK Corporation for $50. After review of packet, personal interview may be conducted.
- Current Resume: Two page maximum.
Completion Requirements
Interns
must demonstrate satisfactory performance skills throughout the program
rotations. Those who complete the internship will receive a Program
Verification Statement and will then be eligible to take the
registration exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic
Registration of the American Dietetic Association. Successful
completion of this program and the registration exam meet the
requirements to be a Registered Dietitian.
